Black Friday Fishing Report
We hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving! While some of you may have taken a break from fishing yesterday, there were quite a few of you who ventured out while your turkey was roasting!
Fishing in the sound has been a popular spot the past few days! Lots of reports of Stripers around the bridges. Anglers are also finding plenty of Speckled Trout with a few reports of Puppy Drum soundside as well.
Plenty of Sea Mullet are being caught on the piers. A few Blues, Black Drum, Speckled Trout, Blowtoads and Drum as well. Our Coastal Angler Series is in full swing and we had our first tournament weigh-in for the Sea Mullet category. Come get signed up next time you’re in the shop!
If you’re surf fishing on the beaches up here, you’re likely to catch Sea Mullet, Puppy Drum, Black Drum, and Sharks. If you head further south to the southern beaches you’re likely to catch Puppy Drum, Black Drum, Sea Mullet, and Flounder. We also heard reports of a good Red Drum bite at the Point yesterday!
