Fishing Report

Full moon fishing this weekend and into the week? Conditions are looking Drummy so get out there!

We had windy conditions throughout most of the week, but we are starting to see the wind lay out. Surf conditions are still quite rough, but we anticipate conditions to improve! Seeing mostly Bluefish, Sea Mullet, and Drum from the surf. If you are looking to catch a Drum, we suggest waiting until the evening and after sunset when the moonlight can assist in landing a big one!

The piers have been reporting Drum, Sea Mullet, Spanish, and Bluefish. Congrats to Tripp Phillips catching his 49in. Drum to win the Outer Banks Association of Realtors’ Surf Fishing tournament which took to the piers due to rough surf fishing conditions. @tripp.phillips

Soundside fishing has been good for Bluefish, Speckled Trout, Flounder, Puppy Drum, and Big Drum. There were also reports of some Sheephead around Oregon Inlet and Bonner Bridge. The little bridge has been a great spot for anglers getting there before the sunrise with quite a bit of action.

The offshore boats finally started getting back out this weekend. There were reports of lots of Mahi, a few Tuna, and some Sailfish as well! Fin Planner lucked out with a Wahoo between a bunch of Mahi! @finplannersportfishing
